No cancellation after payment authorisation
A donation can be stopped only before the donor authorises payment in the UPI app, bank app or payment provider interface.
Once a payment is authorised by the donor and successfully credited, the donation is generally final, non-cancellable and non-refundable.
General non-refundable donation rule
Donations are voluntary contributions for community-help activities. We do not ordinarily refund a successful donation because the donor changed their mind, selected a different cause later, donated more than intended without a demonstrable technical error, disagrees with the timing of work, or no longer wishes to support the cause.
Please review the campaign details, amount and payee information before approving payment.
Limited cases that may be reviewed
A refund review may be considered only in limited circumstances and only when credible transaction evidence is provided.
- Duplicate successful credit of the same intended donation
- Amount credited because of a clear technical or processing error
- Payment credited to us that was demonstrably not intended for Ekta Seva Foundation
- Unauthorized or fraudulent payment reported through proper banking channels
- Any refund required by applicable law or binding payment-system rule
Cases normally not eligible for refund
The following situations are normally not eligible for refund once payment is successful and credited.
- Change of mind after donation
- Request to support a different cause after payment
- Personal financial difficulty arising after making the donation
- Disagreement with campaign wording that was available before payment
- Expectation of tax benefit where no eligible receipt was promised
- Delay caused by bank, UPI app, payment provider or beneficiary verification process
Failed, pending or debited UPI payments
If a UPI payment fails, remains pending, or is debited from the donor's account but not credited to the payee, the donor should first use the support or complaint option inside the UPI app and contact the bank using the UPI transaction reference.
Bank-led reversals and payment-system dispute handling are controlled by the bank, UPI app and payment participants. We cannot guarantee or speed up a reversal controlled by those parties.
How to request review
To request review of an eligible payment issue, contact us through https://ektaseva.com/contact as soon as possible and provide only the information needed to locate the transaction.
- Donor name, phone number and email used during checkout, if provided
- Date and time of payment
- Donation amount and selected cause
- UPI transaction ID, bank reference or payment screenshot with unnecessary account details hidden
- Short explanation of the issue and requested resolution
Review process and timeline
We may verify internal records, request more information, consult the receiving bank or payment participant, and check whether funds were actually credited.
Where a refund is approved, we will normally process it through a traceable method and, where possible, to the original payment source. Processing time depends on verification and bank or payment-provider timelines.
Incomplete, inconsistent, abusive, unverifiable or fraudulent requests may be declined.
Unauthorized transactions
If you believe a payment was unauthorized, fraudulent or made without your consent, immediately report it to your bank or UPI provider through official channels. You may also notify us so we can preserve related records, but formal dispute resolution must be handled by the relevant bank or payment provider.
Contact for refunds
Refund or cancellation questions should be submitted through https://ektaseva.com/contact or support@ektaseva.com with the subject related to donation or payment support.
Official UPI assistance
For transaction-status and banking disputes, use your UPI app or bank first. Official guidance is also available from NPCI and the Reserve Bank of India.
Contact us before donating or submitting sensitive information if any part of this policy is unclear.
